THE BIBLE SAYS
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life..." (1 John 5:13) God wants you to know that you can go to Heaven, but if we expect to get there we must go His way.
WE ARE ALL SINNERS
What does God's Word teach about this all important subject? First of all, we are all sinners. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 2:23). Because of our sin we are under sin's penalty which is death. "For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23). This penalty means eternal separation from God in hell (Revelation 20:14-15).
CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS
God does not want anyone to go to hell, so He sent His only begotten Son to die and pay the penalty for our sins. "But God commendeth His love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
ETERNAL LIFE IS GOD'S GIFT
God's love for us is so great that he made a way for our sins to be forgiven. He offers His forgiveness and salvation freely. "..but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) Please note that eternal life is offered to you as a gift. But like all gifts, it is not yours until you receive it. To receive Christ is to receive life-eternal life, a home in Heaven.
HOW TO RECEIVE CHRIST
Here is how you may receive Christ: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9) You must believe with all your heart, and call on the Lord to save you. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
YOU MUST REPENT
"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent:" (Acts 17:30) To repent literally means to have a change of mind (or spirit) toward God and toward sin. It means to turn from your sins, earnestly, with all your heart, and trust in Jesus Christ to save you.
CALL ON THE LORD NOW
God wants to have a personal relationship with you and He provided a way for you to be saved. Will you believe His Word and take Christ as your personal Savior? If so, pray a simple prayer asking God to save you.
Lord Jesus, I believe that you are God. I confess that I am a sinner and that I deserve hell. I believe that Jesus died and rose again for my sin. I repent of my sin and place my faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone for my salvation. I ask you to forgive me of my sin, and save me by your grace. I accept the free gift of salvation. Thank you for love and salvation. In Jesus name I pray.... AMEN !
